ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10) — The city of Albany is being highlighted in Gov. Kathy Hochul’s 2025 State of the State Address. The governor has proposed $400 million of the executive budget be directed toward the capital city.

Gov. Kathy Hochul spent her fourth State of the State championing the cause she continued to emphasize over the last two months. She also unveiled a serious proposal to combat subway crime — placing an NYPD officer on every train throughout the city’s sprawling underground transit system every night.
