According to Hillsborough County property records, Big Cat Rescue made nearly $20 million in a sales transaction of its property back in December.

In preprepation to sell the Big Cat Rescue property near Citrus Park Mall, owners Howard and Carole Baskin transferred their animals to Turpentine Creek in 2023.

Hillsborough-based Big Cat Rescue, which became famous in 2020 thanks to the Netflix documentary series “Tiger King,” sold a portion of its land to a Florida developer for $19.5 million last month, according to a deed of the sale.
