Firefighters were battling a 3-alarm house fire in Brookline on Thursday, according to local departments. The blaze was reported at 90 Sargent Road in Brookline. After about two hours, “most of the heavy fire is knocked down,” Brookline Fire posted at 12:30 p.m.

A three-alarm fire broke out at a $13 million home in Brookline the day after Christmas and caused part of the roof of the 96-year-old mansion to collapse. The blaze began around 10:40 a.m. at 90 Sargent Road on Dec. 26, according to a report from the Brookline Fire Department.

Fire crews from around the area are responding to a fire at a home in Brookline. The Cambridge Fire Department is currently providing mutual aid for a fire at 90 Sargent Rd in Brookline. Drone video taken by Boston 25 shows heavy smoke coming out of the home. Boston 25 has reached out to authorities for more details.
