President-elect Donald Trump will face the challenge of a growing relationship between Russia and North Korea as the two countries strengthen security ties and nuclear capabilities. NBC News' Janis Mackey Frayer reports that Trump may need to cooperate with China as the region's superpower before Russia's fight against Ukraine expands to include more of Asia.

Russia, China, Iran and North Korea pose an immediate threat to the world order. Each is a dictatorship fomenting unrest in East Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Each tried to influence our presidential elections. Each of them failed.

That "could serve Chinese interests if it helps prevent a Russian defeat and brings an end to the war that favors Moscow, but the presence of North Korean troops in Europe could fuel deeper European involvement in East Asian security, which Beijing opposes," Glaser told Newsweek.
