Ruben Amorim has added five coaches he worked with at Sporting Lisbon to his Manchester United backroom staff. Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro and Paulo Barreira have all joined the 39-year-old’s new-look coaching set-up.

Manchester United have officially confirmed new manager Ruben Amorim's coaching staff. Five names will accompany the former Sporting manager as he takes the reins at Old Trafford.

United’s new assistant Carlos Fernandes, Emanuel Ferro, Adelio Candido, Jorge Vital and Paulo Barreira all worked with Amorim at Sporting but have now made the switch to United. Speaking after becoming United’s new manager, Amorim said: ‘I’m going to take my [Sporting] staff. It was always one of the conditions.’
