An Arizona man’s long-lost companion has returned home after eight years apart. Paul Guilbeault, a local photographer, was reunited with his Miniature Doberman Pinscher, Damion, in a heartwarming story that spanned states and years.

Since their reunion the pair have been making up for lost time, going to the park every day. Although Guilbeault said Damian is happiest sitting in his owner's lap.

Phoenix resident Paul Guilbeault reunited with his dog, Damion, in January 2025 after losing him in Oklahoma City in 2017.

When Guilbeault saw Damian again, he was visibly older and scruffier than he had been eight years earlier, but he was undeniably his dog, wagging his tail upon reuniting with his owner. Guilbeault said he has no idea where Damian spent the previous eight years.
