Top awards contenders “The Brutalist,” “Emilia Perez,” and “September 5” are among the top titles set to screen at this year’s SCAD Savannah Film Festival. The Savannah College of Art and Design’s 27th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival announced its full lineup on Friday.

The festival will close with "Maria," feature a centerpiece screening of "Better Man," and host screenings of films from "The Last Showgirl" to "The End."

The largest university-run film festival in the world takes place right here in Savannah. The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is only three weeks away, and the first tickets were given out Friday morning.

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has announced its first list of honorees for the 2024 festival, which will take place from October 26 to November 2. This year, “Nyad” star Bening’s legacy will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The ceremony will take place after a screening of Bening’s 1990 film ”The Grifters.”
