The upcoming Test series is important for the hosts as they are searching for their maiden World Test Championship (WTC) final appearance. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has been cleared to face Sri Lanka in two home tests starting in Durban on Nov. 27 after missing out on the series sweep in Bangladesh last month with an elbow injury.

Temba Bavuma, South Africa's Test captain, has recovered from his elbow injury in time to be available for their two-Test series at home against Sri Lanka. Bavuma will lead a 14-man side which also features Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee, both back the Test squad after 11 months.

Sri Lanka have announced their Test squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa away from home. The Dhananjaya de Silva-led side will miss Ramesh Mendis' services as he has been dropped from the team despite picking six wickets in the only Test he played this year.
