In a release issued on Sunday, school officials apologized after the DJ known as T.O. played a song released by LSU star Flau’Jae Johnson’s late father at the end of the Gamecocks’ 66-56 win at Colonial Life Arena.

The DJ played the song “Cut Friends” by Camouflage. The artist, whose real name was Jason Johnson, was the father of LSU player Flau’Jae Johnson. He was murdered in 2003, about six months before Flau’Jae was born.

South Carolina issued an apology to LSU and Tigers junior guard Flau'Jae Johnson on Sunday in response to the Gamecocks' DJ playing a song by Johnson's late father at the end of Friday's game between the teams at Colonial Life Arena.
