Team India set the record for the fastest team fifty and the fastest team hundred in Test cricket after they came out to bat on Day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh.

After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs in their first innings, Rohit and Jaiswal launched an assault on the opposing bowlers, reaching the 50-run mark in just 3.0 overs—the quickest in Test history since records began.

The Indian innings began with Jaiswal collecting three successive boundaries from Hasan Mahmud's first over. It was followed by Rohit Sharma taking the gear up a notch with consecutive maximums off his first two deliveries.

India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal set new benchmarks for India on Day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur. After hitting the fastest team fifty, he scored a rapid fifty off 31 balls and contributed to India's record-breaking fastest team hundred in Test cricket history,

Jaiswal, who made his Test debut for India against the West Indies in July 2023, breaks Ajinkya Rahane's record of scoring most runs for India in one edition of the World Test Championship.

With a majority of play lost due to poor weather conditions, India still are eyeing for a win as they walked out to bat in the second session of Day 4.
