Venu was announced in 2024 as a slimmed down streaming package carrying the channels that would have offered such channels as ESPN.

The companies called off what would have been a major bet days after Disney struck a deal with rival streamer Fubo.

Venu Sports, the streaming service backed by Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery, will not launch, the companies announced in a joint statement on Friday. “After careful consideration, we have collectively agreed to discontinue the Venu Sports joint venture and not launch the streaming service.
