The university says it has added a two-game series with Texas in 2028 and 2029. The Longhorns will visit South Bend on Sept. 9, 2028, while Notre Dame travels to Austin on Sept. 22, 2029. Game times and broadcast networks will be announced at a later date.

Brian Kelly won both matchups with Army, defeating the Black Knights in his first season at Notre Dame (also in Yankee Stadium) and picking up the final victory of the disastrous 2016 season over Army in San Antonio.
