To be clear, you cannot die while playing as Godzilla--you'll always turn back into a normal player at the end of it, no matter what. From there, you'll play the rest of the match out as usual. You don't, by the way, get any rewards for having been Godzilla in a match, aside from the happy memories.

To become a full-sized Godzilla in Fortnite you need to find the Godzilla portal that can spawn near the start of a match. However, this is a random spawn so it's not promised to appear every match and we've found that it's a rare spawn too as we played roughly 20 matches and Godzilla only appeared once.

In Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1, the event Godzilla brings something exciting! To get the Godzilla skin, players need to complete a series of quests or transform themselves into Godzilla, then wreak havoc.
