The most intriguing part of this 2025 North Carolina recruiting class is the fact that there are three QBs committed to the Tar Heels. The latest is Gary Merrill, and the other two are three-star Au'Tori Newkirk and four-star Bryce Baker, the highest-ranked player in the North Carolina class.

In a press release, North Carolina revealed that Belichick was a big factor in the decision to switch back to a grass field, stating, "The decision to convert back to grass was made in consultation with new [Belichick] — with the best experience for the program in mind."

Belichick visited Jared Curtis for an in-home recruiting pitch. Curtis attends Nashville Christian High School in Nashville, Tennessee. He led the talented team to a state champio
