EA is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary simulation franchise The Sims in February. While the publisher has yet to reveal The Sims 5, we're getting new updates for its existing games. Here is everything EA has planned for The Sims in the coming weeks.

The Sims series turns 25 next month—fully developed frontal lobe and all—and Maxis has started laying out how it will be celebrating the milestone with new announcements, merch, and game updates. The Sims 4 is getting several different updates and free content drops, starting today and with more to come on the actual anniversary on February 4.

Another update scheduled for February 4, the series' anniversary proper, promises a "huge" batch of content headlined by over 70 new in-game items which will be free to all players. The collection covers hairstyles, clothing, and accessories for a wide range of Sims, from toddlers to adults, per a separate blog post.
