The BBWAA announced the 2025 ballot Monday, headlined by first-time candidates Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia alongside 12 other first-time hopefuls. Tenth-year Billy Wagner, who received 73.8 percent of votes in 2024, will hope 2025 is his year, as will 13 other holdovers.

The Baseball Hall of Fame ballot is being mailed to 400 members of the Baseball Writers Association of America this week, and that ballot includes 14 candidates who are appearing for the very first time.

Nonetheless, the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot was unveiled on Monday. It's a ballot that includes four Phillies — Billy Wagner, Bobby Abreu, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley — all of whom are returning to the ballot.

The ballot, which also includes 14 holdovers and was released on Monday, is headlined by newcomers Ichiro Suzuki and CC Sabathia. Sabathia has the strongest ties of any newbie to the Yankees, as he spent 11 seasons in the Bronx. The lefty won ALCS MVP and the World Series in 2009, his first year in pinstripes.
