Voters in LA County weighed in on several key races, from the race for the president to local races throughout the county.

The vote center at the University of Nevada, Reno finally closed after 9 p.m. Polls closed at 7 p.m., but Nevada law allows anyone in line by that time to cast a ballot. On the big national election maps show as of 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nevada is a slowpoke.

Polls cross the country will remain open until at least the early evening local time as Americans cast their ballots on Election Day.

The process of counting millions of the ballots will begin almost immediately in LA County but will continue for days and possibly weeks.
