Wisconsin made the decision to move on from offensive coordinator Phil Longo on Sunday afternoon, instituting a major change with just two games left in the season. The Badgers need at least one more win to extend their streak of 22 straight seasons with a bowl game.

The offense has been held to 13 or fewer points in its last three games (all losses) and quarterback Braedyn Locke has struggled after the Badgers lost starting signal-caller Tyler Van Dyke due to a knee injury in a 42-10 defeat to then-No. 4 Alabama.

Wisconsin coach Luke Fickell says he never expected to make a major staff change with the season still going on. Fickell didn’t go into details Monday about why he changed course and fired Phi Longo as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach a day earlier.
