Penn State University police are investigating an altercation between retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and a fan over a cellphone that occurred before the weekend game between the Nittany Lions and Ohio State.

Jason Kelce apologized on "Monday Night Countdown" after a viral video from Penn State last weekend showed him smashing a person's phone after the person called his brother, Travis Kelce, a homophobic slur.

In widely circulated videos of the scuffle, an angry Kelce is seen swatting a phone out of a man’s hand after the man had badgered him with crude questions about his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who is in a relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
