Polls cross the country will remain open until at least the early evening local time as Americans cast their ballots on Election Day.

Election Day is here, as voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to weigh in on the presidential election, which features former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as many other state and local races.

Voters across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware are headed to the polls Tuesday to make their voices heard in the 2024 election for president and several key races in each state.

After 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Election Day, Americans will get their first look at exit polls, which could offer early intel in the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump for the presidency. But how do exit polls work, and are they reliable? Here’s what to know on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

In Kansas, polls will close between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. depending on the time zone of the county. Polls will close between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.depending on the time zone of the county.

If you're voting on Election Day, polls in Texas are open from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. local time. As long as you're in the line by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote even if you haven’t been admitted inside a polling place. You have the right to stay in line as long as it takes to be able to cast your ballot.
