Ubisoft Creative Director Drew Rechner has announced an upcoming overhaul for Star Wars Outlaws, promising major changes to the game systems.

In addition to thanking fans for their positive reactions, the developer underlined that the team was closely monitoring player feedback and preparing for major changes. As Rechner specified, SW: Outlaws will see improvements primarily in combat, stealth, and controls.

As part of its ongoing effort to turn Star Wars Outlaws into a game that more people might actually want to buy, Ubisoft has rolled out its first developer update, revealing that creative director Julian Gerighty has been replaced as creative director by The Division and Avatar veteran Drew Rechner.

Star Wars Outlaws is an offline single-player game that came out over two months ago, but Ubisoft is increasingly treating it like a post-launch live service game with continual updates and, now, a new director.

Star Wars Outlaws has itself a new creative director, as Drew Rechner has taken over from previous director Julian Gerighty.

As of this week, Drew Rechner will be replacing Julian Gerighty on future post-launch direction of Star Wars Outlaws.
