Daryl Dixon (a.k.a. The Walking Dead: Study Abroad) so refreshing were the ways it immediately set itself apart from its parent series. After watching an ever-fluctuating group of survivors wander around the American South for over a decade,

"If Daryl dies, we riot." This was the rallying cry from fans during the early days of "The Walking Dead" on the way to an 11-season run, as Norman Reedus' character, Daryl Dixon, quickly rose to the forefront of the expansive ensemble and became a favorite.

Then I remember: It’s not the characters faults. The problem with this show, like so many others in The Walking Dead franchise, is the abysmal writing. The first episode of Daryl Dixon Season 2 is so poorly written, with so many contrivances, plot holes and rookie mistakes, I am left with zero faith in the rest of the season.
