Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made history by becoming the first NHL goalie to record a goal and an assist in a game.

Riding a three-game losing streak, the Pittsburgh Penguins arrived at KeyBank Center in New York to face the Buffalo Sabres on Friday.

Nedeljkovic recorded an assist on Cody Glass's second-period goal which made the game 3-1 at the time. Moreover, he capped off the win with a goalie goal, scoring on an empty net to cement a 5-2 victory. The Penguins goalie skated to the bench and leaped into the arms of his teammates in celebration after the goal.

Mason McTavish and Alex Killorn each scored twice and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 on Thursday night. Frank Vatrano also scored and Troy Terry and Jacob Trouba each had a pair of assists as the Ducks snapped a four-game winless streak.
