After being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday afternoon, Seattle Mariners legend Ichiro Suzuki got a surprise call from fellow Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.

Ken Griffey Jr. played on the same Seattle team as Ichiro in 2009 and 2010, near the end of Junior's playing career.

On Tuesday, the Baseball Writers' Association of America announced the latest players inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Suzuki will be joining fellow franchise greats Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez in Cooperstown, N.Y. Suzuki will also be joining those two Seattle legends in another prestigious group.
