U.S. Border Patrol agent David "Chris" Maland was killed on duty last week in Coventry on Interstate 91 southbound during a traffic stop.
"We had Border Patrol, I bet they had over 100 cars just from them," said Mike Kamerling, a Vermont State Police sergeant. "And then you had state police from both Vermont and New York and virtually every other law enforcement agency in the region.
A Vermont Border Patrol agent was killed after a traffic stop of a migrant turned deadly near the northern border, sources said. The officer was gunned down on Interstate 91 near Coventry around 3:15 p.m. Monday. Law enforcement sources told The Post that the Border agent had been on the job for 13 years.
