In the Penguins' 5-2 win in Buffalo, Nedeljkovic became the first goalie in NHL history to notch a goal and an assist in a single game.

Alex Nedeljkovic becomes the first NHL goalie to score a goal and record an assist in the same game, in a 5-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres.

Nedeljkovic joins Tristan Jarry as the only Pittsburgh goalie to score a goal in the NHL. On top of scoring a goal, he finished the evening with 39 saves as the Penguins defeated the Sabres 5-2.

General manager Kyle Dubas said rookie netminder Joel Blomqvist will get a “prolonged look” in the net to build off of his debut earlier this year. Despite the small sample size, Blomqvist had quite the debut to build off.
