Thursday closed down -123 (-1.05%), and March ICE London cocoa #7 (CAH25) closed down -164 (-1.75%). Cocoa prices settled moderately lower on Thursday as demand concerns sparked long liquidation.

Chocolates made in Italy have been recalled nationwide for a packaging problem that can be a serious health problem.

"The almond-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of almonds," the FDA said.
