Pacioretty is projected to return to the Maple Leafs' lineup against the Wild while Knies could be back on Saturday against Edmonton.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have activated winger Max Pacioretty off of injured reserve, while also placing winger Matthew Knies on IR retroactive to January 22nd.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have activated veteran winger Max Pacioretty off of injured reserve. He has missed the team’s last three games with an upper-body injury.

Pacioretty will be absent due to an upper-body injury that he sustained after taking a shot to the side of the head in Saturday's 7-3 comeback win against the Montreal Canadiens. He was however able to finish the game, logging 10:13 in ice time.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Connor Dewar did not take part in the club's practice and will not be in the lineup for his team hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday, either.The forward sustained an upper-body injury in Toronto's 5-3 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Maple Leafs forward Max Pacioretty has been activated off injured reserve, the team announced ahead of its game against Minnesota. Winger Matthew Knies was placed on IR retroactive to Jan. 22 in a corresponding move. The veteran Pacioretty has been sidelined since Jan. 18 with an upper-body injury after taking a puck to the side of the head.

To fill his roster spot, the Leafs called up 22-year-old forward Jacob Quillan from the Marlies, who has 15 points in 35 games. Pacioretty missed Monday’s game against Tampa Bay and was not going to play against the Blue Jackets, head coach Craig Berube had said on Monday.
