An Orland Park, Illinois, man was arrested Sunday after allegedly cutting past the other voters in line at a polling location and punching an election judge.

Police said Daniel Schmidt punched a 74-year-old man in the face after refusing to go to the back of the line at an early voting site in Orland Park.

Daniel Schmidt reportedly went into the building and walked past numerous other voters waiting in line to enter the voting area.

According to police, 24-year-old Daniel Schmidt "began to yell profanities and punched the election judge in the face, knocking their glasses off."
