Video footage of a member of Kamala Harris ' campaign staff canceling the Vice President's speech has gone viral on social media. Campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond addressed supporters at about 12:30 a.m. and announced that Harris will not be speaking tonight to supporters at her watch party at Howard University in Washington D.C.

Vice President Kamala Harris canceled a planned speech at an election night party but had not yet conceded defeat early Wednesday after former President Donald Trump was elected to another term. Trump defeated Harris by capturing at least 270 of the electoral votes needed to win the presidency. His tally could increase as more votes are counted.
