Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk was detained by the Delhi Police, along with dozens of other activists, while attempting to march into the capital.

On Monday, climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and 150 others were detained at the Delhi border while marching to the national capital to demand Sixth Schedule status for Ladakh. A representative of the group claimed that Wangchuk was taken to Bawana police station and was not being allowed to meet his lawyers.

Sonam Wangchuk was on the 'Delhi Chalo Padyatra', which was organised by the Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) regarding their demands for the Sixth Schedule.
