Over 800 million people in India are given free food grains said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, while sharing India's success stories during the G20 session on `Social Inclusion and the Fight Against Hunger and Poverty,

Prime Minister Modi addressed a G20 session in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting India's achievements in poverty reduction, social inclusion, and women empowerment.

At the summit, PM Modi spoke about India’s work in inclusive development and its efforts to help the Global South. He said, “Over the last 10 years, we have lifted 250 million people out of poverty. Over 800 million people are being given food grains free of cost. 550 million people are benefiting from the world’s biggest health insurance scheme.”
