On Tuesday, former San Francisco 49ers' seventh-round pick wide receiver Ronnie Bell signed a future/reserve contract with the Detroit Lions.

Latu was drafted by the 49ers with the 101st overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Alabama, but he was unable to find a consistent role on the team. George Kittle is obviously one of the best tight ends in football and Latu could never carve out a role on the active roster at the position. Now, he will get a chance to do so in Philadelphia.

The 49ers snagged a third-round comp pick in the 2025 draft when DeMeco Ryans and Ran Carthon were both hired in the same offseason. Ryans went to the Houston Texans as their head coach. Carthon went to the Tennessee Titans as their general manager.

The Eagles signed TE Cameron Latu to a reserve/future contract and released WR Elijah Cooks from the practice squad.
