Sony is publishing a PlayStation Portal update that will allow PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers to utilize cloud technology to stream their games on the go – even if they don’t have a PlayStation 5.

Sony announced that it will run a beta test for cloud streaming on its PlayStation Portal gaming handheld. The feature will begin rolling out in an update today, with Europe due to get it starting on Wednesday.

A number of PS Portal users on Reddit have claimed that the remote gaming device benefits from a few advantages when used in conjunction with the newly-released PS5 Pro.

The latest update for Sony’s surprisingly good PlayStation Portal adds the feature that people have been wanting since even before the handheld gaming device launched last year. Starting today, PS Plus subscribers can now stream some PS5 games via the cloud on their PS Portal without a console.
